I am planning an awesome road trip to the The Pines resort at Bass Lake near Yosemite. Seaside Goats members , wives, and girlfriends are invited to join this long distance "Monaro Club of Victoria style" run through the Sierras and Yosemite. This isn't until September but registration starts soon and is only open to the 1st 160 cars. So don't post whore this one, lets keep it off the other board. Get registered and reserve your rooms at the Pines resort for Fri-Sun nights 9/26-9/28 asap. If we keep this relatively small there's rental condos inside Yosemite and cabins at Giant Sequoia. This could be 4 days or one week so start planning your vacation now.
Don't mail in your show registration fee just yet. The Pines Resort website is showing no rooms available for the show weekend - I will try to post an update asap.

Rooms are avalable only by calling 800 350 7463. You must mention you are with the Pontiac Western Regional club.
rates are $99 nite. Most of the rooms have kitchens. There are a few lake view chalets left.
As of Sunday March 9 there are 26 rooms still available for Pontiac car show participants though the website says none available.
The club run will leave Ventura Friday morning Sept 26 and check in at the Pines Resort at Bass Lake after 4pm . The run will depart Bass Lake on Monday morning Sept Sept 29 and continue onto Yosemite with the itinerary and schedule TBD. Those of you who need to return home after the show should book your rooms at the Pines resort for 9/26 & 9/27 asap and get registered for the show.

It's a shame this year's event had to be cancelled due to health issues of 3 organizing members. What do you guys think about calling Tom and offering to help the old guys put on this years event? Would SFP, Bunnin, or Mike H be interested in sponsoring? This could be a huge SW event with tons of parking, the beach, and live music next door at HI Cees bbq and bar.
